Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In San Francisco, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across California run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

San Francisco is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around San Francisco is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Absolutely delicious! And that’s coming from someone who is very picky about south asian flavors. Anil at the restaurant was the kindest gentleman and made our experience a 10/10. The pomfret fry, and the daal tardka are must trys!

If you are looking for authentic, deeply flavorful Indian food in San Francisco, Aaha Indian Cuisine is an absolute must-visit. The highlight of the night was hands-down the Mutton Biryani. It is easily some of the best I’ve ever hadβ€”the rice was perfectly fragrant and separate, the spices were layered beautifully without being overwhelmingly heavy, and the mutton was incredibly tender and cooked to perfection. You can tell they don't cut corners on the slow-cooking process. Beyond the biryani, the service was warm and attentive, and the overall ambiance made for a fantastic dining experience. Whether you’re a local or just passing through SF, do yourself a favor and check this place out. I will definitely be back for more!

By far the best chicken biryani I have had in SF. Strong flavors, perfectly cooked, all I could ask for in this dish. I am super happy to have found this restaurant!

Today I ordered Green Chicken Fry and Egg Biryani, and honestly both dishes were very disappointing. I couldn’t even finish a small portion of the food. The Green Chicken Fry had no salt and almost no flavor at all. It looked like a proper fry item with all the ingredients and appearance, but the taste was completely missing. As for the Egg Biryani, the gravy/sauce used in it was not tasty and gave the entire dish an unpleasant flavor. I’ve eaten at many restaurants before, and this is the first time I’ve had such a bad experience. Spending $38 on food like this was definitely not worth it. This is one of the worst places I’ve tried.

Love this place in the mission. Got the chicken pepper fry and chicken chettinadu and chapati and chili garden naan. All was great, loved how many spiced and chopped onion are in both dish. Chili garlic naan is life changing, best naan I've ever had
